Reading List

In my courses I use a wide range of “readings” to help my students understand and develop a relationship with the course subject, concepts, and ideas. These readings include formats such as podcasts, films, and non-academic texts. Below, please find a listing of the materials (both assigned readings & in-class instructional resources) that I have used in past courses, that I hope to use in future courses, or that might be useful to other educators.

I will continue adding to this list over time, so please check back in the future for additional resources. And if you are aware of similar materials that fit into one of the below categories, or is otherwise related to the fields of sociology of law and/or criminology, I would love to hear about them!

(A note: these resources are meant to promote discussion, critical thinking, and reflection in the classroom. The inclusion of an item on this list does not necessarily come with my endorsement of the ideas, concepts, or theories expressed by the authors/creators/interviewees/etc. )
